Um, isn’t this below the wholesale cost of a fibre connection?

Presumably it's based on this chorus offer $38 per month wholesale cost and $75 credit if the retail price is under $60 per month. Effectively chorus trying to compete with fixed wireless for price sensitive customers without cutting margins on 'normal' customers

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Is the speed enough to play Netflix and You Tube without buffering. I know someone elderly still on limited wireless broadband and reluctant to drop it as it’s only $30 from Vodafone. Didn’t know they even had such a low cost plan and so it's been difficult to try and convince her to go unlimited.

Interesting, I wonder if the other LFCs will follow suit, they often do.

There's a handful of other providers that have been delivering this plan for a while like Quic and Flip. Slightly higher per month though as no bundled mobile plan required.
