OnePlus open should be released as a worldwide folding phone this month. Has 2degrees previously had OnePlus mobiles that have been released worldwide?

No one in NZ has offered OnePlus in an official capacity. They're always imported and I can't imagine this will be different.

Maybe PB might stock it as the OnePlus parallel importer, as they do on previous OnePlus phones.

Yearning the day phone vendors such as OnePlus or Sony or even Google and go "why not".

Girl can dream (I really do miss Sony and I say all of this without my One NZ hat on).

Yeah, a bit more choice on Android handset vendors wouldn't be a bad thing for competition.

Looks like they do, albeit only three handsets: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/brand/oneplus

They stock Oppo global phones (flip, Reno's), the fold n3 is the same phone but for India only so I kind of thought that this OnePlus open device is basically a global Oppo phone.

Fingers crossed

The problem is there isn't a lot of motivation to come here. We are a TINY market already pretty much saturated. Even if they came here it would be with a limited range, and because of that sales would be impeded.

Also, in NZ they have to contest with the CGA making them appropriately accountable, but it's an issue they don't face in other markets who have larger populations as well.
