We seem to have lost internet via 2degrees fibre; location central Palmy.

Anyone else in this area having problems?

Nothing showing yet on 2D's website, but this sure shows a spike in reported problems (though as that page is about mobile hard to know if anyone's using it to report wired BB):

https://downdetector.co.nz/status/2degrees/

Edit: my sister, also on 2D fibre in the same city, is reporting the same problems...

2D helpdesk queue is closed to new calls, which may (or may not, depending on how their service is these days?) indicate it's wider.

Down in Feilding. Local facebook group is reporting wider issue with other providers. Doesn't seem like One is effected.

I've seen a few comments on local Palmy FB pages about their 2 Degrees internet being out. No problem with my Spark connection though.

My sister’s been reporting her connection has been coming back on then dying, and then rinse and repeat (she’s on the other side of the river).

Our internet came back on about two minutes ago, so hopefully back for good…

Down in Marton, lots of people in the local Facebook group saying the same. Some are back on though, I'm about to go reboot my router to see if it comes back up.

Phew! After crawling around in the roofspace on an unrelated mission I came here to check if I'd snagged a cable by mistake and imagine my relief that it wasn't just me haha. IPv6 is still down though.

Good post @jonathan18

We had similar fun tonight across town too.

Be good to hear what it was all about.

2 degrees fibre has generally been good but have noticed way more ‘micro dropouts’ on teams calls lately so it’s not as reliable as our previous long term provider.

Looks like they've had a rough night. Fortnite update but appears to either be related, or unrelated to other problems also. ISP's are saying it was the most traffic they've ever experienced. I know the ISP I'm with set records tonight and NZIX peaked

But looking at Smokeping from the outside:

Doing a MTR it appears the packet loss was within their core (so past NZIX) but seen reports of more than Palmy go down so appeared to be a bit of a wider P1 incident.
