Expect a 20-35min downtime tonight between 1am and 4am. A switch at the RAN will be getting rebooted to upgrade its firmware, as that will generate a full broadband outage we will be using this opportunity to upgrade some of our core network.

Cheers.

just as a matter of interest does the upgrade benefit the end user or is it just general maintenance

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Hey Ralph, a couple of ideas from a customer's point of view:

1. I completely forgot about this, and last night when my internet died I used my datacard to go to the snap website to see if there were any planned outages - that page never changed.  It would be good to have that updated whenever there is network issues.

2.  If I didn't have a datacard, it would be good to signup for a SMS alert, I'm more than happy to pay the 20 cents per message if I'm told why my internet is down.

If you need systems to handle #2 I'm sure we can help you out Cool

Other than that, I've been very satisfied with speeds and the helpdesk at Snap, keep up the good work!
