Howdy folks

In the past 20 minutes or so my 2degrees connection has gone quite jumpy.  I'm seeing latency in the Geforce Now App jumping all over the place.  Starts at about 26ms (which is normal for me) but jumps up suddenly and then settles breifly before going again.  just spiked to 515ms which is not so great!

Anyone else seeing anything funky happen on international transit as local seems ok - if its just me I'll call it quits for the night!

Same issues tonight, latency bouncing around.  Anyone else suffering from international latency issues - can't imagine its just to Geforce Now as there is nothing on their website.

Around 22-23 January it looks like 2degrees added another upstream transit provider AS9507 Nexthop, they describe themselves as an Australian dark fibre provider, so looks like they are being used to augment capacity?

Around this time I've also noticed issues to Alibaba CDN a lot of mostly Chinese games and mobile apps use this and getting 1000 ms pings and request time outs at peak hours. I put that down to Chinese/lunar new year traffic but seems to have only affected 2degrees as far as I can see and fits in with the above change timeline.

This might be what I've been experiencing since mid/early Jan, been telling my wife to jump on VPN to watch her shows in the evenings now

Using PIA with the NZ server fixes all the issues

Yes I got a similar result by re-routing key domains to another DNS server and now get mapped to Alibaba servers in Australia rather than Singapore.

Alibaba CDN and Geforce Now issue in original post something for @Sounddude to look at I think.
