Anyone know the settings to connect the WAN port from OPNsense directly to the ONT and bypassing the rubbish fritzbox?

Ive setup OPNsense completely now, but the WAN I have it DHCP and into the fritzbox.  I want to remove the fritzbox.    My OPNsense box has 2.5g so that may come in handy there, but why power an extra device for no reason.

DHCP Client on your WAN Interface Tagged as VLAN10

I am not sure how to do this within open sense itself, when I was using it I was running it inside a VM on VMware and did the tagging at the ESXi level

Both will work as 2degrees is multi stacked but DHCP will give you better performance, you just need to tag vlan 10

Either or as 2d is dual stack.

You'll want to create a VLAN interface based on the port you will use for WAN. The port must only be enabled and have nothing set. No DHCP no PPPoE, no anything.

The interface you will create a VLAN for, is your WAN interface and should be configured for PPPoE or DHCP etc etc.

thanks everyone, got it.

The part that was tripping me up was I had to go delete the Gateway for the fritzbox.   But thats because I set it up with fritzbox at first.   So glad to be rid of that POS.
