since i got orcon phoneline and broadband earlier this year, we have nad no end of trouble..
they havent connected our answerfone yet despite numerous phone calls and emails.. but are still charging us for it..... the broadband costs twice as much as all the other broadband companys i know of.... i have sent customer support numerous emails, none of which got a reply... despite asking for REAL snail mail invoices they only sent us one for the first month then just emailed us the rest...
so i wouldnt recommend orcon, based on my experience with them

TWICE AS MUCH?

Please give one example.

P.S. - Why did you sign up with them if you could have got your broadband at half the price somewhere else?

ROTFL @ Tony's post

Twice as much.... you sure youre not getting a bit confused by looking at pricing of ADSL1 plans vs ADSL2 (Such as Orcon's own network) ?
Orcons fees are quite reasonable and pretty much match the going rate from other ISP's for the same services.

Ive been with them for about 6 months now and havent had any issues with cost or service.

Maybe if you sent customer support emails with correct punctuation, like capital letters at beginning of sentences, and correct use of fullstops. This may aid significantly in Orcon understanding and actioning your request.

Aside from my post on another thread regarding the change in data overage charges to Orcon LLU customers, they are reasonable to deal with and the base charges are in same area as the rest of telcos out there as far as I know.
Would still recommended them too, same as previous poster.
And yes, appropriate use of capitalisation and punctuation never hurt, and indeed, seems to help when making a point or requesting assistance:)
