Anyone been on a waiting list recently? 

signed up for naked dsl with slingshot a week ago, I have been billed the $99 setup fee and $80 for the first month (which started yesterday).

yesterday my landline which was with telecom got disconnected and my router started connecting, but slingshot was still rejecting my adsl account so i couldn't use the internet.

called support and apparently it could take 'several months' for a port to become avaliable at the exchange. 

I am in napier and under 500m away from the exchange.

so.. anyone been on the waithing list? how quickly does the napier one roll over

[edit] ok well since the modem is connecting and getting an ip there must be a port open, just need to hassle tech support i guess.
