I received this email from 2 Degree's this week.

Obviously they have been having issues.
I can confirm that as at posting 2talk, Vodafone, Call plus, Telecom and Telstraclear
It does not currently work from WxC (Edit: Now working).

Hmmmm

Good thing they are being proactive about it - vodafone did absolutly nothing when they bought out the abortion of 0210xxx xxxx numbers which lead to many problems for people that got those in a new prepaid connection pack.

Hi Geekzoners

Thanks for raising the profile of this issue. We would really appreciate everyone's help in updating systems across NZ to deal with our new 022 number range. There are two main areas where we are focusing:

1) PABX (office phone) systems - these may not be set up to allow calls to 022 - please call 022 022 TEST (022 0228378) to check this problem
2) Customer/supplier/business contact database systems (or any other application that uses or stores mobile phone numbers) - these will often not permit mobile numbers to be entered with an 022 prefix.

The correct format of the 022 number range is 022 xxx xxxx i.e. 022 + 7 digits, across all subranges. If you are responsible for, or use, any systems that fall into the above categories, we would like to ask if you can test to see if the 022 prefix is properly supported. If not, please raise the issue through the appropriate support channel for that system, as unfortunately there is very little we at 2degrees can do about this other than publicise the problem. As noted in the email we sent out (above) the "official" reference for the opening of the 022 range is the NAD website.

Thanks for everyone's help!

I've added this to the dialplan on my SPA942 and SPA2102 (Connected directly to 2talk) but I get as far as 'Session Progress' on the screen and nothing happens.

Don't forget 2talk also need to be able to cope with 022. Probably worthwhile poking them too. We recently sent out a lot (hundreds if not thousands) of letters to various organisations to get the word out as far as possible.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

It works now, so they obviously fixed whatever it was at their end
