Orcons own network is co-located in Telecom Exchanges, otherwise its very hard to jumper on to the tail running to your place. As for location in Mt Eden, not sure sorry.

Mt Eden exchange (code: MOD) is at 2 Poronui Street, I believe.

Yep, your right, google maps street view is great, clearly shows ugly utilitarian 1970s architecture besides quaint early 1900's villas.

Cheers

As everyone has pointed out, we host our MSAN's in the Telecom exchanges.

We are also looking into the viability of hosting our kit in the Chorus/Telecom road side cabinets. Currently doing some trials with VDSL from cabinets.

The boss has 40mbit/40mbit to his house!

Hi Simon, do you have some results showing tail length against VDSL2 achievable speeds.

Only the stuff we have done in the lab.

Basically reaches ADSL2+ Speeds (24Mbit) after 1km of copper length but dropped off quickly after that 1km. After 1km its better to be on ADSL2+.

The boss who has 40/40mbit, is around 500-600m from the cabinet.
