I just noticed a few sites around Wellington are getting their backbone microwave dishes installed. So I had a look at the network selection in my area and I can see that NZComms dosnt have 3G access.

I know its been said before, but I thought it was intresting that they havnt switched the 3G frequency on.

They have already said that they will be launching in August with a combined GSM/UMTS footprint in Auckland,Wellington, Christchurch. Your biggest market is 2G.

There is more info to come soon on this but 2degrees isn't going to have blanket 3G coverage at launch, only some sites. By early next year their 3G will be all go.
