They requested that I text back the code they gave me - I hope this doesn't mean I have given them pernission to scam my Vodafone account. I hope 2degrees don't work in with the scammers such as IQ Quiz etc.

That code is just to confirm your mobile number is actually yours (ie: you have that mobile number in your possession).

Hey rubygirl - rest assured that you have not given us permission to scam your Vodafone account.

Cheers!

What if I signed with 2Degrees? Would you then allow scammers to access my account with you? Or is your company willing to make a stand with this? Will you be making money from this practice? Do you consider this to be a genuine service? Or do you think people who allow the scammers to slip under their scam detector to be fair game for ripping off? I would really LOVE to hear your feedback on all of the above questions.

Why is everyone suddenly so paranoid about scams? I imagine 2degrees would take every step they could to ensure that no one gets scammed, let alone scam themselves.
A new company in any market has a lot to loose if they make mistakes, so my guess is they will be doing their best to make everyone happy.
