I take it you mean 022 and then your home number less the prefix?

Don't see why not unless 2 Degrees only allow connections to a few prefixes at launch (they have rights across all, 0220-0229).

We are 022 [plus 7 digits] and there are 10million numbers in our number range so it could be possible. It would depend if it was still available (meaning it wasn't one of those numbers that gets sent out with the Chinwag SIMS). You'll have to wait until launch to see if the number you want is still there.

Cheers!

Haha, that would be real bad luck, if out of the 10 million, that one number he wanted was taken.

1 in 10 million chance of it happening, but still possible!

Asked 2degrees the question.

Yes I can have 022 and my hone fone number it it's still available but I have to get/buy the SIM first, Activate it and call them and they will see if it can be done.

No I can't reserve a SIM with this number as they have no way of doing this. Guess the SIMs are being bulk made somewhere else..

Well have put my name down and will wait and see what happens..

Is there any cost in reserving a specific number? Ongoing or upfront/fixed?

You could always ring it, and if you get someone answer who just got it as a freebe then offer to swap sims with some cash to make it worth their while if it is assigned to someone else.

Friend got the same number on 027 as 021 by doing that.
