This is an issue I’m experiencing on Slingshots broadband service over the Vodafone Red network on there Big Thing plans.

Some websites, in particular TradeMe , Youtube and Gmail, are on occasions, not loading. I can only access TradeMe about 50% of the time, however Stuff loads perfectly all the time.

Slingshots customer service staff say it is a known issue. They advised me it could be a DNS issue and i may have to change my DNS settings.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issues? And more to the point, why is it occurring and why would I need to change all our PC’s DNS settings to fix it? Very frustrating....

My friend on Orcon experienced problems with YouTube as well so maybe it's not just Red Network related?

Yeah I have been having this problem with slingshot as well this past week. I am not on the red network. Gmail sometimes doesn't load as well as the pages from my web server which is based in the States but ftp still works fine. But can easily access them over Vodafone 3G. It has been rather frustrating.
