I've already read the posts saying that proper 2degrees signal will only be availible in the 3 main cities, but will it cost more to roam on Vodafone? Before I read the post in the forum, I thought that there wasn't going to be any coverage where I live (Waihi) as I searched for a network and my GSM phone only picked up vodafoneNZ. This doesn't really matter as I am usually at boarding school in Epsom, where 'NZ Comms' shows up when I search... anyway, my main questions are: Will it cost more to roam on vodafoneNZ and How long will it take 2degrees to have coverage in Waihi?

The latter question is probably for 2degrees themselves....

As far as we know it won't cost any more to be roaming on VodaNZ. But we will find out more as soon as the plans are Released.

I would think that having a higher 'roaming' cost would be counter productive to their goals.

I would have expected 2degrees to factor that extra cost into their pricing, since most people are not familiar with "national roaming", and 2degrees needs to launch with as simple pricing as possible.

I would expect as well.

It is too complicated if there is different pricing when on VodaNZ than when on 2degrees own network.
They did say that there plans wont be harder than the Davinci code to understand, telling me that the pricing will be the same.

No differentiation in pricing from 2degrees to VF roaming.
