Slingshot and CallPlus will release their Vodafone MVNO services on 1 August, a few days before 2degrees. [NBR] Anyone know anything about their offering? Tongue out

Competition is good!

I really don't think MVNOs add to the competition, unlike an entire new network.

It depends on the nature of the agreement. Virgin Mobile in Australia has some pretty compelling offerings. I think it's the unflexible nature of the existing VNOs here that have given them a bad name.

I don't agree entirely.

Compass offer some of the the cheapest mobile calling rates and plans in NZ for and are a MVNO off Vodafone's network.

Sorry - I may seema little simple here, but what does MVNO actually stand for? (I know what it implies, but not what the acronym actually stands for)

any idea what it would cost a Vodafone customer to call/text a slingshot mobile customer? is a slingshot mobile call/text charged as if they were a Vodafone customer? eg $10 texts
