Subject line says it all. Anyone else confirm? And if so, can 2Degrees comment on whether they intend to offer this?

Their network is live now. SIM's are available from stores and you can make calls!

Not sure how much more "live" you can get!

On the other networks, you can text a mobile number free to 300 and get a text back letting you know if that number's on the same network as you.

And yes the network is well and truly live, have been using it all afternoon.

When I text my Telecom mobile number to 300 with my VF mobile the answer I get back is "027XXXXXXX is not currently an active on our network"

Correct. And it's that service which 2Degrees is presently not offering.

Yes voice calls do work as I have rung my home phone number and my Vodafone number and both calls did go through but interestingly I have my home phone through 2talks voip service and at the moment I cant ring my 022 number off that so might have to email 2talk if that is still the case tomorrow when I get home from work.

Saw something on their site (or was it Facebook?) that they were working on txt2park. I guess all these things take time and you have to launch some time eh!?! Rather have calls and SMS cos mostly use them.
