At about 3 AM I logged into the Your 2Degrees portal and noticed that the porting form was operational. I completed the request to port my 021 number. at 4:30, I got a text saying it was done. Just called the number and it really does appear to be.

Nice job 2Degrees.

Hay quick question -
Do you have to have a 2degrees sim to port over the number?
I only assume this because when I go to reg for the 2degrees web site it asks for a cell number.

You need to have a sim, sign up for the Your 2Degrees portal once it's back up, and initiate the port from in there. So you will have a temporary 022 number until the port is complete.

It may take a bit longer once there's a queue, as it's a manual process.

But what really impressed me other than the speed of the process, was someone being there with the ability to do it at that hour of the night.

Have people been able to call you once your number has been ported?

I can not call 027 numbers on the vodafone network from 2 degrees.

I don't want to port my 021 number until this is sorted just in case.

Yes, no problems receiving calls although I don't often receive calls from XT, so can't testify to that one.
