A friend has a Nokia 1325 CDMA currently on Telecom.

I'm not familiar with these phones but he says it has a SIM card slot and Google seems to confirm this.

However I wasn't able to work out from the search results if a GSM900 SIM will actually work in this phone?

I know that sometimes a phone company will manufacture to different specifications depending on the market, so does anyone know what the SIM card slot does in these phones?

We are wondering if it is possible to switch to 2 degrees using that same phone. Cheers.

No, you will need a new phone. CDMA phones will only work on the CDMA network.

this will be a RUIM slot, Telecom CDMA operate on a different network frequency to Voda and 2degrees and as such for that phone to work would require a hardware change.

Removable User Identity Module.  Used mostly in Asian CDMA networks  much as a SIM card is used here in GSM fones.  My wife's CDMA Nokia has a RUIM slot in it..

It could also be a worldmode phone couldn't it? Granted, Telecom actually locked those so it would be useless, but it's possible.

Telecom didn't have any Nokia World-mode phones.
