Hello world,
Just tested SMS exchange between 2degrees and all German majors operators except for Vodafone (no SIM at hand right now) and these are the results:
+ = working
- = not working
? = unclear
incoming = sent from 2degrees
outgoing = sent to 2degrees
T-Mobile Germany (262-01)
incoming: +
outgoing: +
SMSC: +447785016005 (Vodafone UK)
Vodafone Germany (262-02)
incoming: ?
outgoing: ?
SMSC: ?
o2 Germany (262-07)
incoming: +
outgoing: +
SMSC: ? (Nokia N95 won't display origination SMSC)
eplus Germany (262-03)
incoming: -
outgoing: -
SMSC: -
vistream (262-16)
incoming: +
outgoing: -
SMSC: +38975000200 (Cosmofon Macedonia)
mobilcom debitel (MVNO on the 4 first-mentioned networks)
incoming: +
outgoing: +
SMSC: +64226134050 (2degrees)
How does it come, that SMS to vistream are routed through Macedonia, an underdeveloped country?
Let's post your experience with other international operators here, too.
regards,
Inquisitor
P.S.: I have SIMs from T-Mobile UK and Vodafone UK, all three Bulgarian MNOs and Swisscom. If anyone from 2degrees staff is interested in some testing these operators contact me.
