So a guy I know was having problems ringing his 2degrees number from his landline (mucking around after he got it active). After ringing 2degrees customer support and them trying unsuccessfully to troubleshoot it, he rang Worldxchange to see if it was a problem at their end. They said that it was
2degrees fault for not having an interconnect agreement with them!

Lots of other toll call wholesale companies don't have interconnect agreements yet and still allowing calling to 2degrees, any ideas why Worldxchange are so keen to pressure 2degrees on this?

WxC is very strict on protecting their network security/integrity/billing. You will notice WxC does not allow 0900 calls either. So unless there is an agreement, I don't think there will be any possibility of phoning 2D from WxC.

I remember WxC had this same problem with calling CallPlus 028 numbers. WxC really need to get their act together and stop breaking things for their customers.

2D don't need an interconnect agreement with every carrier in the world. They have one with Telecom, as does WxC. Calls between the two can go through that interconnect.

Awesome! Just what we need. Another "it's their fault" spat.

WxC do support 0900 calling now, I've just testing it on my DVX DDI (I'm assuming the same works for the VFX platform).

Back on topic, I'm locking this thread as there is another one going here.  Please post any subsequent replies there.
