My temporary password SMS never arrived, possibly due to the fact I was out of coverage at the time and didn't get back into coverage for two days.

After waiting for 32 minutes listening to elevator hold music - my ears they bleed!!! - I am done with 2degrees, if you treat your customers worse than the incumbents you will not get very far at all.

Can't you just request another password without getting to call them?

I wonder what the SMS expire time is set to on the SMSC

2 days is quite short

I didn't get my temporary password either, and I was out of coverage for ... 6 hours?

from the 'forgot password' section:
Forgot password hint question and hint answer are not available, Please contact administrator

I presume this is because I never received my first temp password to sign-on and setup my account in the first place...

I registered Friday afternoon - didn't get back into coverage untill this morning. I live in Wanganui so am roaming via VF, would that make a difference to the reception/non-reception of sms?

It depends on the error code, naturally. :-)

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

Correct but if the error code handset out of coverage should it not store the SMS for a few days

SMS is not guaranteed to be delivered. Found that out when we developed a security system that sends SMS.

Website states that they hold messages for 3 days. Don't know if that means that they keep trying to send for 3 days. My password never arrived. I was out of area for 2.5 days. Ho hum...
