I've been unable to receive any txts from Ireland since switching from Vodafone to 2degrees on Friday. Contacts in Ireland seem to get txts I send them okay, but their replies don't arrive. I've read here elsewhere that somebody had the same problem when being sent txts from the UK.

What is the point in being able to send an international txt for 9c when nobody can reply to you?

I have logged this problem with 2degrees but am not holding my breath on a reply.

Hey Geekzoners,

With issues like this can you please email: info@2degreesmobile.co.nz so they can be properly recorded as user issues and investigated appropriately.

Cheers!

Are international incoming texts working *anywhere on 2Degrees?

My wife is in the US at present on AT&T. She can receive my texts, but I can't receive hers. I've gone through to verify the correct SMS centre is in use and others in the US are receiving her messages.

I stuck my 2D sim card in and sent a text to U.K (Scotland on the o2 network) and received a reply. Works here.

I've just tested SMS's to and from my Vodafone UK SIM

SMS from 2degrees to UK works fine.

SMS from UK SIM to 2degrees fails.

Well I logged the problem with 2degrees on Monday and it's now Thursday and still nothing. I also sent a message to the user '2degrees' above and had no reply. I also have trouble with some landlines not being able to call my phone.

It's absolutely ridiculous that a company can act like this. I rely on my mobile for day to day contact with people and at the moment most of the people I usually interact with are unable to contact me.

What can be done?

Hi there,

There has been no message set to us via Geekzone from you - hence the reason you haven't had a reply.
As far as the UK goes, it’s only Vodafone UK that are currently unable to SMS to us, and this is to be fixed shortly. The other operators work both ways (we have tested them).
In the US, AT&T & T-Mobile are both tested working both ways, but there might be delays with Sybase updating their number portability (if you've ported recently).

Cheers!
2degrees
