Hi fellow geeks,

I had a Vodafone number on which I had been receiving tweets from Twitter. But since I ported this number over to 2 Degrees, I am no longer receiving the tweets. Does 2 Degrees not support twitter? Or do I need to set up the mobile settings to allow tweets?

What is happening?

They don't support Twitter updates. Only Vodafone and Telecom do.

Oh I see... does 2 Degrees intend to support twitter updates? They send out their own tweets, so to not support incoming tweets is strange. Maybe in time it will come. Hope not too long.

Maybe you could ask them. They are the only ones who will know.

Send a e-mail to care@2degreesmobile.co.nz or ring 0800 022 022 and hopefully they will sort this out.

If you look on the twitter device settings page you can see clearly in bold that "We can only send updates to VodafoneNZ and Telecom numbers."
