Has anyone got this to work over 2degrees?  I have tried using the Novatel mobilink software 2.02.37.25 Build 006 Driver version 3.0.3.0

APN: internet {internet.2degreesmobile.co.nz?}
PDP Type: PPP  {Alt IP?}
Username: {EMPTY}
Password: {EMPTY}

No joy.  Getting the EDGE purple colour, EDGE signal and "Ready" to connect....then connecting I get error 678: The remote Computer did not respond.  SIM has been opened by calling 200.

Looking forward to trying EDGE out!  Anyone else able to advance this?

Actually I got it!

For anyone else:

APN: internet   (Much to my surprise)
PDP Type: IP
Username: {EMPTY}
Password: {EMPTY}

How about that!

Very strong EDGE signal indicated here in Ngaio, Wellington.

m.2degreesmobile.net.nz
smtp.2degreesmobile.net.nz

I think it maybe good for small amounts of data use, say send a quick email once a day = cheapest option. (50c vs $1.00) Otherwise I think the more established providers are cheaper for larger data volumes.

Hmmmm Bit hard to dial in to check your balance using a mobile connect card though - and they tell me no text option to get your balance........ (groan)

There is the web option, but they have all that javascript crap that makes a simple curl request not work. There is an incredible amount of other crap that comes down with just accessing their site.

Thanks Maurice. Having been to that page before, I again confirm the text smtp can not be found on that page. Why refer us there?
