has anyone else had issues with slingshot http requests just dieing, or failing to even establish ever since their announcement of the new cacheing system?

I have to resort to using a ssh connection to my webhost and then socks the browser over that in order to get pages to load at all sometimes.

Images will half load and fail, the connection never closes according to the nat on my firewall, just dies, so the connection limits keep getting hit on that.

I initially thought it was torrenting at the same time, but even closing that doesnt really help the http situation.

so before I call slingshot to change the proxy option (web not an option with a static IP), is there anyone else seeing the same thing happening?

Why don't you turn the cache off via slingshot my account settings?
It's optional.

You do know that it does nothing if you have a static IP and even says that on the page and in the OP?
