Servers went down at 3:37PM, back up at 4:35PM, outage of 58 minutes.  Looking at the history of this forum shows this isn't out of the ordinary.

Helpdesk had no idea, technican who called me back said an error caused them to have to reboot the whole platform, and then he hung up. Great.

What the hell is going on iServe?

Windows Azure has data center(s) in Australia now, might be worth considering.

Not to be outdone, today's outage was:

[website] is UP again at 20/02/2010 07:34:36PM, after 5h 26m of downtime.

What a joke.

I have found their service has gone downhill, since being taken over. Still waiting for an email reply from them, from thursday.

Always found Email support from Orcon to take weeks to get any reply. Phone was okay, but I spent most of my time on hold. I really miss the old purple machine that was. Ah well, I moved on some months ago...

When I initially signed up for their cloud server service it was pretty good, but as robbyp says, it's gone downhill fast.

Hence why I moved what I was doing there elsewhere.

One less customer to worry about. :P

Not only their cloud service, but the hosting console at https://console.iserve.net.nz/ returns an error too.

And their domain management page at https://idm.net.nz/secure/ says "2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111)"

As per their homepage, they have disabled all databases, to fix the problems they are having with their email problems.
