I know telecom and vodafone do, but does 2deg have the SAFE service available to its customers?

2degrees is like an infant, they have not grown and matured yet. They are only 6 months old, wait till they are walking @ 1-2 years and they will have 99% of the stuff you guys want...

yea thats what i have been planning to do, although i would have thought that the safe service would be one of the basics.

I use it whenever i am driving long distance and send a text every time i pass through a town so if i dissappear or crash into a ditch, I could be found without having to tell my mom that I am going to party in wellington for the weekend and get told i have to visit people that i dont care about.

Hey raytaylor - the team at 2degrees would like to say "thanks" to you for highlighting this as a service you'd like us to provide our customers.
We certainly couldn't agree with you more, so you'll be pleased to know that following your query the team have been working behind the scenes and the SAFE service is now up and running for 2degrees customers.
Full details on the SAFE service are available on our website: http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/safe-text
As a sign of our appreciation we'd like to add a little bit more credit to your account (if you are a 2degrees custome). Send us a message with your number if this is the case.
If not, then you can just enjoy all the "warm fuzzies" that come with the knowledge that you've made it much safer for our customers who are out and about.

Thanks!

Very nice response there from 2degrees. Well done.

Just need to promote the service a little bit more as this thread is the first time I'd heard about it.

Im not yet a 2d customer but have been thinking of changing because of the xt problems so i will enjoy those warm fuzzies.

It was promoted when it was launched on a few billboards and on the police website after some guy went missing in wellington a couple of years ago but not many people know about it.

I think it's a great service that should be put into many travel directories.

*checks phone book*

This type of service would be a great addition to the White Pages.

Much more useful then the "Having A Baby" guide (Yellow pages , Page 13) :)
