2degrees launches lowest any-network pre-pay calling rate in New Zealand

2degrees, New Zealand’s newest mobile network company, today dropped the cost of calls between networks by nearly a third, from 44 cents to 30 cents per minute with the launch of its Everyone100 Pack. This new pack represents the lowest-priced, and only, any-network pre-pay talk pack in the country.

Everyone100 offers 100 minutes of calling time to any mobile or landline network in New Zealand for $30—an effective rate of just 30c per minute. The Pack is valid for 30 days, and can be purchased multiple times each month.

According to 2degrees chief marketing officer, Larrie Moore, the new Everyone100 Talk Pack gives 2degrees customers the value they’ve been looking for.

“With Everyone100, 2degrees is now the market leader with any-network pre-pay rates,” says Larrie.

“Rates on the competitors’ pre-pay plans are 89c and I’ve yet to find one of their long-term contract plans that gets the rate below 32c per minute.”

“Never before has there been this sort of value on pre-pay,” he said.

Everyone100: Call anyone on any network

With the Everyone100 Pack, customers don’t need to worry about who they’re calling or to which network they belong. When they buy 100 minutes, they get just that, keeping mobile use simple—the way it ought to be.

“Customers are hungry for value. They don’t want to have to think about the way they use their phone, or modify their calling behaviour to get a decent deal. People want to be able to pick up their phone and call whoever they want, whenever they want. The new Everyone100 Pack lets them do just that,” said Larrie.
          
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell what network someone belongs to, as more people keep their mobile number when switching networks. Any-network packages like Everyone100 are therefore becoming more important for customers to provide certainty around calling costs and prevent bill shock.
The new Everyone100 Pack, combined with the recently released $10 Text Pack and the $6 50MB Data Pack, means that 2degrees pre-pay customers can enjoy even better value on the things they use the most. In addition, today 2degrees also launched two international calling packs offering 120 minutes of call time to India and China for $10.

To purchase the Everyone100 Pack, customers can text ‘buy every100’ to 233.

More than 200,000 New Zealanders have joined 2degrees since it launched in August 2009 with the promise of bringing better value to New Zealand mobile users. More than 75,000 of these customers have brought their mobile number with them from another mobile network.
