What 0800 number are you calling?

Slingshot have at least three 0800 numbers.

yes hellonearthisman
their main number doesn't work from my homeline or mobile so i had to walk to the payphone
and get them to call me at home and they said no they dont make outgoing calls
so i had to argue with them at a phonebox with them not even answering my question
as to why i cant call them from my homeline couldnt even get an explanation as to why i
am being charged for the 0800 calls to THEM for calls that were all disconnected

ive only been with them for 3days now and i just wanna leave
but no way can i afford the 149 termination fee

slingshot r crap i hope no one makes the same mistakes i have by joining them cause they were
a little bit cheaper
it hasnt been worth the stress and ive ended up paying more for crap service

Hi Northland,

My name is Nikki and I work at Slingshot in the marketing team.

Would you be able to send me a private message through Geekzone with your account number or phone number please?

It's definitely free to call our 0800 number...if there's been an error, we will correct it.
Also, if you still want to talk to someone in customer service, please let me know and I'll arrange for them to call you at home asap.
We'll also try to get to the bottom of why the 0800 number isn't working for you - I haven't heard of this happening before. One option if it happens again is to call our 0800 number from your mobile phone (this is a free call from mobiles too).

thanks,
Nikki

Northland, what was the outcome of this ?
Just so others know in case they have similar issues.

There wasn't & hasn't been an outcome as of yet I finally got through to them but just kept being told 'sometimes the lines are down in my area'?? Don't know if they said that just as an excuse as my friend is with slingshot n lives out in the country never had any issues yet I live in whg CDB couldn't even get a dial tone with the 0800892000 number via homeline or mobile maybe it was in my area i really don't know and didn't want to argue any further with them,it happened once more after that but fine for the last 2 weeks.

Just seemed odd at the time not being able to call 0800 89 2000 from my mobile either. I was definitely more upset being told no one would call me to help me but i appreciate slingshot getting back to me on geekzone and helping me.(;
