Hi All

I have been having an odd fault over the last few days when moving between 2degrees and Vodafone cells with my Android 1.6.  It does not seem to want to find the new network when travelling.  This was from Auckland to Coromandel and back.  On geting back to to Auckland I had no cell reception.  Had to do a restart.  Anyone else having problems with Android 1.6 not auto sensing networks?

Also when searching for available networks I get 3 choices:
53024
VF NZ
53005

I can guess what the VF NZ is but any ideas on the other identifiers?

Cheers
Andy

53024 is 2degrees, 53005 is Telecom.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

Just out of interest are you using Automatic mode? If not you should be since using Manual Selection will force your phone onto that network even in circumstances where it should be roaming on another network -- e.g. forcing it on 2degrees will not work if you happen to be in an area served by Vodafone but not 2degrees.

Apologies in advance if you're already doing that, just wanted to cross out that issue off the 'possible causes' list. :)
