I assume you have topped up within the past 30 days to be eligible for the 2c TXT deal?

Is the number you are sending to definately a 2degrees customer?

I'm puzzled how you could be charged 20c when 2degrees only charge 9c for SMS's to all networks if you aren't signed up for one of the their deals.

It can happen if you enter the b number in a weird format. For example, 21x are country codes. So if you put +21xxxxxx as the number I have to assume you meant to send an international message... And charge you 20c.

Only the top 22. That includes South Africa I think, but nowhere else in Africa.

I have been a 2d customer from week one with a ported Vodafone number. For the first couple of months I compared my phone's and 2d's logs of my call time and txts, and found 2d's records a complete shambles. They were over charging for calls and txts based on the top up special at the time. Called their CS a couple of times but they either didn't know what was going with their accounting systems or were under instructions to confuse complainants with mumbo-jumbo. In the end I decided to let the issue slide as I was only losing a couple of dollars a month and have not checked since. I consider the potential ongoing frustration of continuing to complain not worth the hassle. I figure I'm still getting a much cheaper deal than on VFNZ prepay regardless of the creative licence employed by 2d in logging my useage - thats my 2 cents ;-).

Hi TippyMcGee
If there's been any errors made or overcharging on our side I'll be happy to look into it for you.  Just send me your 2d number and any examples. Cheers ^POB

and if the b number is +21xxxxxx I'd expect it to get sent to whatever country is "21" too

Algeria is +213

Morocco is +212

Tunisia is +216

Libya +218

I'm guessing all of those are probably in the '20c text' areas for 2D.

Back in the day, looking for a test number, I came across a website for Tunisian goat herders.

Sadly it seems they have fallen on hard times, no longer having reliable enough wireless access from out in the paddocks to keep the site online. I was unable to find it this morning to link to. :-(

Support your local Tunisian goat farmer today! Send them a surprise text message!
