I switched to 2 degrees about 6 months ago. I ported my number over, everything was swell. I could log into 'my 2 degrees' at any point, it worked perfectly.

2 weeks ago I changed my number on the website. Ever since I haven't been able to log into the site to check my balance (ie when my data pack expired). Every time I try to log in it says "Error while processing XML".

I figured it might have been my PC, or my choice of browser, but it's doing it on my linux laptop, my windows gaming box, workstations at polytech (so different internet connections as well as PC's), in IE, firefox, chrome and safari.

I rang them up before, and at first the guy on the phone tried to tell me my simcard had no number assigned to it. Um, ok, I can txt, ring, use internet and send MMS fine, comes up with my new number on the other end, my phone rings if it's dialled.

Next problem they tried to say my number had never been updated at all, that it still had my old 027 number.

After 15 minutes on hold they come back and say because I have a hyphenated last name, the system is unable to retrieve my details. Uh, cool. But if that was the case why did it work before I changed my number?

Seriously? The system can't handle hyphenated names? WTF. It's getting to hair pulling levels of frustration. All I want to do is see when my data pack expires.

I'm trying to use the new number. I've also tried the old one as well, neither of them work. Both give the same error.

Haven't tried the forgot password button, I'll give that a go now

How long does it usually take to send a password through? It's been 20 minutes now and nothing... I'm guessing that's not working for me either?

Weird, after my last call it let me log in once, now every time I log in I get "Sorry, something's up. Please try again later."

Sigh.

Hi Neoprint
Try clearing your browser's history and deleting your cookies. If that doesn't work reset your browser or try another browser or pc.

Hmmm, strange, it's working ok this end, no known issues. It might have something to do with your Firewall possibly. If you've checked that and cleared your cookies, reset your browsers and it's still not working please send me your details I can raise a ticket with our Customer Support.
Cheers

I do not believe companies such as 2degrees should be providing this sort of support, customers themselves should be able to figure out how to delete cookies e.t.c. However its part of good CS to do so...

I think its just easier for everyone that way if they did. What about old people who have no idea and only use computers for email? Won't have any idea what to do, so if they (The provider or whatever) tell them how to do it, it gets things moved on faster and more people can be helped.

Hey I agree, its all about the good will. I was just saying my personal view...

Ill never forget the time I spent one hour explaining to a customer how to use win vista for a $30 transaction.

I agree with SteveOn that, in this instance, the 2Degrees rep has gone out his/her way to help. Bravo.
