I had problems with HoN over Orcon. Asked them to switch off interleaving and it fixed it.

That tracert doesn't really show any issue, you can see he already has interleaving off by the low ms for the first few hops.

~180-200ms is normal latency to the US.

Can you elaborate on the actual problem you're having, drop outs, freezes?

ok so im in slingshot 256k plan,

and when i play practise (single player) theres no lag
there no programs running or any other things affecting my bandwith

when i play, its very laggy, skips frames etc, and then sometimes everything freezes (but the animation is still moving, aka still running but standing in place) so i disconnect and connect into the game and its then laggy and skips frame etc!!!

btw the games i join have 108ms

Practice runs on your local host.

Normal games run on the server.

ayman: how do i do that magu?

What Magu means is that the practice is loaded and run from your own PC.  There is no connection overseas to the main play servers.  The actual game is hosted elsewhere and as such you suffer the same as everyone else connecting overseas, latency and bandwidth.

I've traced to the server and I get 190ms, so yours is about right.

That's to be expected. S2 Games does not have any servers for the Asia-Pacific region. The closest ones are in Japan or US West coast.

Yeah, 256k really shouldn't be called broadband at all. Go for FS/FS and that gets a little bit better. Although my Orcon connection shows the same latency.

Bear in mind that the host you provided is just for server listings. The actual game servers might be different, because you may get connected to one in Japan, rather than one in the US.

As soon as i get my FS/FS connection i will let you know ok :) hopefully it is the connection problem and not my comp as it usually handles games on a high resolution, if worse comes to worse, i think ill switch to orcon, whats your plan magu? is it unbundled?'

btw thanks for your help so far :)

I'm on Orcon+ (unbundled), on a Silver plan with an additional 100GB traffic. Can't complain, especially now that I've replaced the crappy RTA1320 for a Draytek Vigor 120 as the modem.

None, unfortunately. Only Slingshot can best that, but I'm happy with Orcon so far.
