haha, I can't believe how slow this file is. Currently watching a 12 mb file download at 175 bytes/sec.  7% thru.  3 1/2 hours to go.

Slingshot, but I don't think they are the problem. Downloadf speeds from other sites are fine.

Here is a link to the file I am (still) downloading. Why would it be traffic shaped.

The file is a user manual for a radio.

Dukester, when you say 25Gb FS/FS are you talking about the plan Next Big Thing #2?

I'm on NBT#3 and getting very similar speeds.

I'll see if I can get somebody to look into it tomorrow :)

This is what it says in my Slingshot details,
You are currently on the following broadband plan:Pro

I just tried downloading the file again and still getting 186 bytes/sec. I might have to install a download manager program to get this file.

Wow thats scary how slow it is.

I tried downloading from a US and Europe proxy, both had the same speed.

$ curl -O http://www.wouxun.cn/KG-UVD1P/KG-UVD1Puser.zip
% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current
Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed
  0 12.8M    0 29887    0     0    370      0 10:06:53  0:01:20 10:05:33   198

It's going at 8.69B/s now, eta 17d 58h :P

I'v left it downloading on my server so when it's down i can grab it and will post an alt. link here if you still haven't got it.

(Maybe one of the other people who got fast speeds could do this...)

Ah ok, if you're on the Pro then my idea before was wrong (which is a good thing!)

Not entirely sure what the error is, if other people are getting good speeds =/
