Why does it take Orcon so long to transfer a mobile number?

I set up the port yesterday evening, and they said my number would be ported from Vodafone to Orcon Mobile on the 13th this month. Why on earth would it take this long? No other ports have taken this long before.

They said 13th? Ports should be completed in 48 hours and in general only take a few hours.

Something wrong...

Yeh, it said I should receive sim in 13 days or I can select a date if I want it later. When I moved from XT to Voda it took like a day or 2 I think.

Looks like the transfer has had a fatal error - mine transferred and was working in 3 hours.

lol. Hope they get them before 13th. But I guess it gives me a bit more time to waste the rest of my credit left on Voda SIM

I received my SIM last weekend. Forgot to say. Means I get activated on Monday if they still plan to do it on 13th. The packaging for the SIM was very cool. Even got some orcon stickers. Now I see why they get the iPad. (apple and their stickers? Anyone? No?)

My Orcon SIM went live on Orcon at like 4pm yesterday. It feels good being able to text any network now. Still took way to long though.
