This is my own fault... But now I will have 2 pay monthly sims.

As soon as pre-registration for pay monthly was open I registered my interest. And as soon as pay monthly was released on the online shop I ordered one of the pay monthly sims for $10. (Of which arrived today). But today I checked my emails and saw one from 2degrees. I was really in too much of a rush to read it and just saw that it wanted to confirm my address. So I clicked on the Yes, thats right button and then saw a message saying that my free pay monthly sim would be on its way. I then went back and checked what the email said and it was about the fact that I registered early that I was entitled to a free pay monthly sim pack.

Serves me right! I should have read what it said. But what I am wondering now is if there is ANY difference at all between the pack that I paid for (the one I have now) and the one that will be in the post?

Will I be better off using either of them?

What should I do now? - My brother is coming over from the UK in a couple of months and will be wanting a pre-paid sim. Would I be best to leave one unactivated (if so, which one?) and then activate it as pre-paid for him? Could I then 'cancel' that sim after he has gone? (He will be here for approximately 3months).

If it helps... Here is a picture of what I got in the pack (the one I paid for)

Would I have received anything extra/better in the other pack?

All packs are the same. After you get the pack you have to apply for On Account. If your application is declined then you can use the SIM as a prepay.

In other words, just use one of the packs, and you can discard the second one.

If you register before the 31st September you can send the SMS to receive the 100 bonus minutes, regardless of the pack.

Or whatever date is in their latest, I can't recall exactly now. You might be right.

They are both the same, and can be activated and used as prepay. IIRC you get $10 activation credit with the Postpay In A Box SIMs. When you're ready to convert either one to Pay Monthly, you can do so at your own convenience online.

But you don't have to convert them: until you do, they are normal prepay SIMs.

Cheers,
S

October. We're putting in a change tonight, if all goes well, to give you the bonus automatically when you sign up. I'll bulk update everyone else who didn't already get it some time in the next few days.
