Just received this:

Internet service provider Snap Internet will not pass on next week's 2.5 (sic) per cent GST increase to its 30,000-plus residential plan customers.

CEO Jamie Cairns says Snap is committed to providing best value broadband services to its expanding national market.

"It is an opportunity to show we are serious about keeping internet charges affordable and for residential clients to pay no more than before.

"Plus we are lifting the data caps on two of our most popular monthly broadband schemes to 1GB and 5GB, also at no additional cost to users."

This month Snap won the annual TUANZ Best ISP Award for the second year in a row, the first time it has been achieved.

Thats interesting, as I am looking at a Snap bill right now... and all over it, it mentions GST is 15%. Including all chargable calls made in the month of September.

Yes GST went up and Snap's end user price inc GST didn't change right?

Hence you pay the same to Snap and they pay more to the taxman than they did when GST was 12.5%
