I am stable at 100k/s. It will go up to 1m/s if there is a cache. It won't be over 100k/s overall if there is not cache.

A friend of mine on Slingshot normally gets 100 - 600 kilobytes more often around the 250 - 350 mark. Really depends what and where your downloading from.

Those figures are typical for him on Utorrent with tv shows etc.

For me it's different i am with world exchange (xnet) and I got the Simpsons episode with the guys from flight of the concords in it. Whole episode too about 225 seconds to get. If i am downloading from some of my contect specific sites (eg members or invite only sites) I have been able to download 1.4gig in about 25 - 30 mins which is great if the download is split in to two parts as you can start watching the first part quick and be assured the 2nd part is is done by time that ends.

Ultimately though there is way too many factors to be taken into consideration to give a true idea of what is the norm. For some 100 like your getting would be considered great for others they would consider that totally unacceptable. Plus of course your budget really does often determine what speeds you get. Telstra clear is a great example of this check this link about their new pricing (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=44&topicid=67600&page_no=1)

One thing I have learnt is that patience is probably the best thing to have. Shame the internet and modern culture really does not class that as being necessary we all get told that we can have it when we want it and we always wanted it 5 mins ago hehe. (like sitting on xbox live waiting for Halo Reach matchmaking to find you a match to join drives me insane even though more often than not i am only waiting 2 or 3 mins hehe.

For me (like Slingshot and most likely you) my isp has the ability for free overnight usage (I get 75gig per month between 2am - 8am) i just use the scheduler with utorrent to download only between those hours (with exception of a couple of must watch as soon as they become available shows) and wake up to most of my downloads being complete.

Hope this helps :-)

Once got a cached one at 800kB/s, and everything else slower. Maximum I have seen is 150kB/s when the upload is opened a bit more than usual. I schedule it to start after 1am so don't really watch them.

Time to find a new industry!

I usually torrent Z-movies and the like with at most three or four seeds, and will probably get around 25kB/s.
When I get the odd one stored on the cache I get 2MB/s.

People tell me thats crap, but I can't complain, unlimited is unlimited.

I get about 60-80kbps during off-peak times, consistently...equates to about 1GB of stuff downloaded over my 4 hour free period.  As soon as it hits 8AM, it goes up to over 250.
