Hello Forumers,

lately when i have been downloading offpeak, i always seem to find like 1 seeder who has bitcomet. ( Majority of the time with callplusnet, The dude seems to give me like 400kbs . Is there something amazing with bitcomet? Does it give like mega fast speeds or something?

It will be the torrent cache, it appears just like a user. You'll also notice that the seeder never has 100%.

Yeah, thats the cache, the only time I see acceptble speeds is off it, and its very rare that it connects.

Even with utorrent set to no encryption, DHT on and not using a tunnel to connect to the tracker it doesnt connect in.

Something occured to me today is that how would the cache know which port to connect in on, since I have several ports being used by torrenting it would have no idea which one was the one wanting the file it was connecting with, so I will close all but one utorrent tonight and see how it goes over free offpeak with just my tv shows on public trackers trying to download.

The best way to get access to torrents on the slingshot cache is it use http://www.vuze.com/ with the plugin called ONO and have a whitelist with just Slingshot in it.
That's a whitelist file with 119.224.0.0/17

I always use encryption and DHT only. No Peer exchange or torrent files.

I was seeing slow torrent speeds from 5 different routers.....(3xDLink, 1xLinksys "toilet seat" thing, 1xTP Link)....and then I bought a Netcomm "NB6Plus4Wn"....and my network now runs *much* faster. Everything. I'm on a different ISP....but it looks like the hardware you buy can make a big difference. I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it myself.
