2degrees to openretail stores, first at Sylvia Park.

We’ve taken the approach to open our own stores, yet also back a number of accredited dealers who will be opening 2degrees stores of their own across New Zealand over the next six months. Some of them will also be based on the road so they offer the added benefit of going direct to customers,” says Mark [Cleary, Chief Sales Officer].

2degrees will open its first retail store in Sylvia Park, Auckland on Wednesday 13 October, followed by Newmarket, Auckland and a store in Wellington CBD within the following week. The 2degrees owned Christchurch store is planned to open shortly with lots more stores in rollout to come.

It looks good in the photo. Does anyone know where exactly the Wellington CBD store will be located? The article suggests that it will open next week, so I'm surprised that I haven't noticed the signage going up anywhere.

I'm thinking it's on customhouse quay where the Nike shop used to be (at the corner with Willis/willeston). If not then the shop going in there is very much branded the same blue as 2degrees :)

Thanks. I haven't been down that way recently, but it's only a stone's throw away from work so I might go for a walk tomorrow. If they're within two weeks of opening then there must be enough fitout there for it to be pretty obvious.

I had a look at the Sylvia Park store on Saturday (15/10)
nicely located next to vodafone opposite the escalator to hoyts and DSE powerhouse

Only a short visit as there wasn't a lot to see but the staff seemed knowledgeable, mentioned I would of loved to get a USB datastick but no point with being in Hamilton, was told towers are being planned for Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua and Taupo (there maybe others I assume)

I did grab the double topup tho so the visit is worthwhile, sounds like the ZM Blackthunders are going to be there tomorrow (sunday)

My back is so tired. Did any of you get one of the $2 phones? The line today was huge!
