Hi Everyone,

The new store is open in Wellington, near the corner of Willis and Lambton Quay.  Was quite empty when I went in there a few minutes.

Looks like they have a couple of specials on handsets; a low end Nokia for $50 and a SE W595 (I think it was) for $100.

The main interest to me was the double top ups (buy 1, get 1 free, max spend $150).

That's right!

Our Wellington store is open for business. If you come on down over the next few days you'll get 'Double Your Airtime' - so if you buy a $20 top up we'll give you another $20 top up. The maximum top up value for this deal is $150 per person.

Handset deals today are:

Sony Ericcson W395 for $99, was $199
Nokia 1662 for $49, was $79

We'll be having other hot deals so if you're in the area make sure you pop on in and say 'Hi' and check out what's on offer.

Thanks
Bryony

You're right. That's an atrocious deal. Good thing it's not correct, it's just a result of my awful typing skills.
The Sony Ericcson W395 was $199 - so you're saving $100. Not $1 :-)

Cheers
Bryony

Just got my topups sorted for the next 6 months :)

Don't go when it is busy though guys, the process for buying the topups is *really* slow.

Is the Newmarket store doing the double top up deal as well? Or was this just a opening day special in Wellington store

I just popped in and it looks nice. I picked up a $20 and a $30 topup for my daughter so she now has $100 worth of vouchers to use! Nice.

Vouchers are good for 6 months before being used and as with the other carriers, once they are used the time is good for 12 months.

Thanks to all those who've popped in to say "Hi".
Just to let you know the Double Your Airtime is going to run through the long weekend so you've got some time to stock up on top ups!

Cheers
Bryony

A word of advice. I was prepared to buy $50 worth but the my daughter(!) said not to but to buy a $20 and a $30. That way you get 4 vouchers instead of two so you have 4 months when you get the topup specials (1/2 price calling and low cost texts) and plus you can "sell" the extras to friends who missed out on the deal.

Hi, just to clarify, you have to use the top-up vouchers from our stores within 12 months of purchase.

Cool. The guy in the store said 6 months so 12 months is much better.

Can you please double check this.  As lchiu7 says, the guy in the store said 6 months AND the printed voucher says 6 months too.

If I'd know this I would have bought more.
