Hey all, having read a ton of posts concerning downloading speeds from Slingshot thourght I'd add a few comments.
I myself was on their Pro Plan for over a year,my download speeds were great during the day hours however with most I experienced slower speeds during the evening, however having just changed over to their All You Eat plan my download speeds have dropped to such a low rate Im now scratching my head wondering why,now heres the thing, they do state that you will receive transfer rates as fast as your phoneline can handle but that when p2p sharing the rates will be slightly and they do state slighly slower than on a capped plan, when talking to a rep he stated instead of 20 minutes it may take 25 to 30 minutes,my downloads have dropped to almost dial up speeds, now whats going on there.
Slingshot seem to be taking a lot of flack at the moment over their download speeds and interestly they seem to be experiences a lot of these issues within the South Island more so than the North.
It is also an interesting note that when I joined Slingshot they did not put me on the plan I had sighned up for,in fact they switched me 4 times before I finally got what I had asked for in the beginning.
This download issue seems somewhat what Telecom experienced and ended up in court over after misleading its customers so if as fast as our lines can take then why are we not getting that, surely decreased sppeds on p2p should not be as slow as dial up..anyone else getting the same issues....
