When can we expect these to arrive? Will they arrive at all?

Cheers

Yeah I'm more keen on it to get the text updates :) I can tweet from my wp7 easy enough it's more keeping track of those more important tweets :D

What handsets are you using? I have FB (official app) and Twitter (tweetdeck) on my Android (2.1) and both give notifications for new FB updates or incoming tweets. You can set the 'refresh' interval for both. If you only want notifications for specific people you are following you could set up a specific twitter account to follow those people only, as I don't think tweetdeck supports groups on the android app?

Not to derail the thread but as previously stated I'm using WP7 (HTC Trophy) and at the moment the offical apps for both Twitter and Facebook don't have push notifications (which is required to notify me due to the tombstoning of applications on close)

Fair enough. That's something of a major limitation though (not just for those apps)...will that be addressed in WP7 anytime soon do you know?

Don't get me wrong the infrastructure is there it is more that it is up to the developers to implement it in. AlphaJax is a great example of how it works.

I don't want to have to leave the app open all the time. That's why I liked the txt on subscription and DM.
