Foolish are those customers that joined slingshot while aware of their telemarketing policies.
To anybody here complaining about slingshot, what do you expect from a company that does not respect the right of a person not to be called with telemarketing calls, they are not a member of the marketing association of NZ, if they were they would have to change this behavior, even an unlisted number does not spare you from slingshot telemarketing and it does not matter how many times you tell them to not call back, they keep doing so, you would be a fool to have anything to do with a company with this attitude, you are just asking for trouble.

I wouldn't expect you'd make to many friends around here calling people you don't know fools.

Having recently changed from a data plan to the all you can eat plan, I feel pretty much a fool.
I had been on the data plan for a long time and never had any issues.
From day one of changing to the new all you can eat plan, my connection is painfully slow 46K for most of the time.
The main problem is at least 4 times a day my connect is dropped.
After raising a support call, I sat back and waited.and waited, well I guess I need to wait a little longer.
A couple of days later I got a nicely worded email saying I should check my settings and filters and ... wow  I changed plans not modems, Slingshot must have hired Telecoms helpdesk.
I was busy replying when I received a second email saying that the problem was resolved and the call is closed.
Pretty good service, they never contacted me or attempted to resolved the issue, maybe they will change their name to Telecom 2 or something that resembles their service.

Buyer beware, you don't get what it says on the tin.
Customer is now looking for new provider.
