Decided to move my wife's phone to pay monthly because of the new $29 plans and 100 bonus minutes. That didn't take long - maybe 5 minutes. But once I did it I discovered I had forgotten to apply all her top up vouchers to the account and 2D customer support said I couldn't use them once the phone was on a monthly plan.

So the only way to do that is to move the phone back to prepay but there is no option for doing that online which is strange. You have to talk to customer support and even then it is going to take (as I write this about 30 minutes after switching) 2-3 hours apparently.  What's wrong with their system? If they are integrated enough to do online credit checking etc, you would think the simple act of moving off pay monthly would be easy to execute.

Hey there,

The Prepay -> Pay Monthly conversion is in almost all cases a completely automated process without any human intervention required which is why it is a standard option. The reverse unfortunately isn't true and it requires one of our team here to manually complete/sign off on the Pay Monthly -> Prepay conversion which extends the time frame out a bit.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thanks for the reply. So far the account is still on monthly (request was made 5pm Sunday so I guess nobody is around to do the transaction until today).

And all because I neglected to apply a bunch of vouchers to the account before moving it to monthly. Once the account is back to prepay, then I will be applying all the vouchers and then move to monthly againSmile

At least I know that works seamlessly.

As an aside I wanted to have this phone in my name also (second phone) but the 2D system would not allow me to have two phones on two accounts so I had to use my wife's name. That seems like an arbitrary restriction?

BTW - You know that you have to give them 30 days notice aye? In other words, you'll be scraping through to get back on by the end of the year.

As far as I am aware no mobile carrier will supply you with 2 numbers...

Well no change yet :-(

And I had two phones with Vodafone on account (dfferent). They never asked for a driver's licence number so they could not match the two I guess whereas 2D does.

Hey there,

If you flick me a private message with your phone number, I'll check up on the status of the conversion and see if I can give it a hurry along :)
