Hi All,

My first post here and i was hoping you guys would be able to shed some light on an issue i have been having with 2 Degrees and getting my milestone working that has been on vodafone (i have read a thread here with a similar issue)

Basically my issue is that i put the sim in and it tells me "Emergency calls only" - the sim works in a different phone and my phone worked fine on vodafone - i called 2 Degrees and after doing a reset i was able to make a call and receive a txt but now just "Emergency calls only"

i saw someone had a similar issue in a thread here so called up the 2 degrees number again and was told that the issue was that my phone was locked, i found this difficult to believe so called again and got the same message with the guy getting quite angry when i asked if a sim swap might help and to contact the people i got my phone off to request them to unlock it

is it possible my phone is locked? it seems unlikely to me as i have had some activity on the 2 degrees network (phone call to 200 and i received a txt) and was pretty sure my phone was sold as unlocked (parallel import shop) yet to customer reps have told me that my phone being locked is the most likely cause of my problems and one guy was almost yelling at me when i was asking about the similar issues other people have had with the milestone

what are my best steps to resolve this?

thanks for any help in advance

Some of our SIMs don't work in the Milestone. Call care for a replacement.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

"Emergency calls only" means the handset is camping on another carrier IE Vodafone or TCNZ for "Emergency calls only"

Not related to SIM locking in anyway
