I know the voicemail number is 202 but when I am overseas,  can I just use +64-22-2022002 and it will work without me putting in my ph number and pin number?

If it does, I may set this number onto my phone and use it in NZ or overseas.

Thanks.

Correct

If you have an iPhone, try this http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=85&topicid=66892

(Dial *5005*86*+64222022002# which will set the number on the voicemail button)

You should call +64222022001 while roaming. 2002 should be translated to 2001, but it doesn't work from all networks. You will need to enter your number and PIN. It's not possible to make it seamless while roaming because international networks don't reliably send us CLI, so you might end up somewhere unexpected. :)

Just a small plea. It would be really good if the VM number wasn't a mobile one when called from overseas?  Using Google Voice I can call NZ landlines for US1.9c/minute but when I call the 2D VM number it's treated as a NZ cellphone number and I have to pay 22c/minute. Is there a way to have a landline number that is routed to the VM server?

Merry Christmas!

Thanks
