hey, i just changed my nana from telstra clear to slingshot.

her phone and broadband are connected through slingshot as of today, but her telstra account doesnt seem to be cancled yet, her paradise email address still works.

im just wondering if we are supposed to call telstra and tell them to close the account, or not?

i dont want her being charged for a service she isnt using.

yes once you are connected ring up and cancel her Telstra account or they will keep charging you for the service and you will have a tough job getting the money back.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Yes ring and tell them but we recently did the same thing (but to Telecom) and when I rang they told me that the account would be closed automatically.

Don't rely on it working as it should, it's best to contact your provider AFTER your new services have been enabled (not before, that breaks stuff and takes longer) and ensure it's been cancelled.

That's going from any provider to any other provider.
