Hello,

I had a couple of calls from overseas to my 2degrees connection recently and noticed that the caller ID was not displayed in a format that enabled me to redial the number my phone records.

Example: call from +49 172 xxx xxxx displayed as 049172xxxxxxx

I'm smart enough to notice this, but my friend is not and spent two days wondering why her international calls wouldn't connect. I wondered for a while if it was just the iPhone misinterpreting something but I also saw it on a Nokia. It'd be excellent if 2degrees could fix this.

Forgive me if this has been dealt with before!

Cheers

I Don't think 2Degrees would not have much control over this

The network passes onto your handset what its handed (hope I explained that OK)

Perhaps 2degrees could contact the network handing over the badly formatted caller ID and ask them nicely to sort it out? I believe it's o2 Germany.

How do you know the international carrier is not changing it?

I don't, which is why 2degrees is in a better position to sort it out than I am.

Hi there,

In any case it is worth work flowing to our technical team to see if that is the number being presented to our network.

PM me your details and I'll see what I can do.

Cheers
